Mike Kelly is the creator of the Eat Great Diet weight loss program.
Hi, Im Mike Kelly and I have struggled with my weight my whole life. I was a chubby little kid that just could not seem to lose my baby fat. I was teased and made fun of throughout grammar school and most of high school. During my Senior Year of high school, the schools Wrestling coach, Coach Gervais, gave me some weight loss diet tips. After some limited weight loss success, I began reading weight loss diet books and learning as much as I could about a healthy diet. I also began working out and exercising. I successfully lost over 80 lbs. Because of my young age, active lifestyle and knowledge of proper diet foods, I actually kept the weight off for a few years.
Like most of you, after a while, I eventually put the weight back on and then some. I spent the bulk of my twenties yo yo dieting. My weight went from 175 to 220 to 165 to 230 to 159 to 235 and finally from 154 to 250 lbs. What I learned throughout that decade of dieting was that It really doesn't matter which diet plan* you use to lose the weight if you don't actually make a whole lifestyle change. You can lose weight with whichever diet plan works best for you, but unless you change your eating habits forever, you will never keep the weight off and most of the time, when you put it back on, you will be even heavier than when you started.
So how do you take the weight off and actually keep it off. Well, There are thousands of diets on the market and hundreds of new ones popping up every day it seems. I've heard of everything from the low carb diet to the avocado diet. Like I said, you can lose weight with whichever diet you want if you are disciplined and work hard at it, but you do have to be careful because some of them are unhealthy and can actually be harmful to your body. You should always consult your doctor before starting any diet program.
I have found that the trick is to modify your daily eating habits forever so that you can lose weight now and keep it off later without "going off" your diet. The only way to do this is to design a diet for yourself that you will actually follow, not just until you have lost the weight you want to lose, but for the rest of your life. In order to do this, your diet plan will have to be realistic and also take into account the times when you "fall of the wagon" so to speak.
I took all of my years of experimentation, research and failures and gathered my knowledge to design the perfect diet that takes into account, my dieting weaknesses and short-comings as well as my known abilities to manipulate my metabolism and my nutritional needs. After gathering all of this information, I designed the perfect diet that lets you eat healthy foods, take advantage of your metabolism (even if you think your metabolism is slower than others) and eat until you are stuffed at every meal.
When I was in my late twenties just turning 30, I weighed around 250 lbs. This is when I started my new "Eat Great Diet". I quickly lost over 100 lbs. in a matter of a few months. I was shocked at how fast I lost the weight. I actually went to doctors to make sure I didn't have some undetectable Cancer or something that could be causing this rapid weight loss. I tested much healthier than before I lost the weight. My cholesterol was much much lower and well within the normal healthy range when before it was high. My blood pressure was much lower than before. I had previously been considered borderline diabetic and now there was no evidence of diabetes at all. It was like a miracle.
It has been over 10 years since then and I have kept it off the whole time. I now weigh 143 lbs at 40 years old. I couldn't believe how easy it was and people who know me can not believe the sheer volume of food I eat at each meal. I eat more for one meal that most people eat in a whole day. I used to believe that I was one of these poor individuals who has an ultra slow metabolism and there was just no hope for me, but that is almost never the case. You can change your metabolism and once you get it working for you, you can eat all the food you want for each meal (as long as it is healthy and low fat/low sugar food) and actually lose weight by doing nothing more than eating.
I should also mention that I haven't worked out in years. I am a very busy businessman and I'm always on the go, so I don't have time to go to the gym and exercise. Which brings me to my next point. You can never keep the weight off until you learn how to eat right "on the go". Nowadays, people are so busy that most of us eat out almost every single meal and don't have time to cook elaborate healthy diet foods at home. Don't worry, I will teach you the art of eating out healthy.
Another problem with keeping weight off is that most diet foods that are low in fat and sugars are also bland and boring. If you are one of those people who eat for pleasure, have no fear, I can show you how to dress up your food so that it actually tastes slightly better than cardboard without making it fattening.
So that's my story. In a nutshell, I have been struggling with my weight for 40 years, losing the battle for the first 20 years, putting up a good fight for ten years and now winning the war on fat for the last 10 years. I know that I can absolutely help you to lose the weight you want to lose and keep it off no matter how unsuccessful you have been in the past!!!
Please give the Eat Great Diet a try, you have nothing to lose but your fat.
